Growing up in Trenton, NJ, there was never a doubt that all I ever wanted to be was an artist. With an Associates in Advertising Design and a Bachelors in Fine Arts and Education, I found my first jobs in local ad agencies then into corporate marketing communications positions resulting in several relocations. The last one brought me to Florida where I always wanted to live. I started Florida Pastels LLC realizing that lifelong dream of becoming a professional artist.
Working in both pastel and acrylic, I find that each medium influences the other in what has become a narrative style. My paintings tell the story of nature's healing power, simpler times, friendships, and days gone by. With all the events in the world of late, I feel I now have something important to say.
I've been honored to have had my pastel paintings juried into many pastel shows across the country also winning prestigious awards.
When I'm not painting in my studio, I'm an instructor at the Dunedin Fine Art Center in Dunedin, Florida. I also happily accept commissions.
